The Sam Davis room is our largest guest room. Fronting on B Street, the tall picture window provides the famed 100-mile view of Virginia City and central Nevada. Decorated in stylish tones of blue with Eastlake furniture, the room has a sitting area, antique armoire, and queen-sized bed with “sleeping on a cloud” comfort. Named for Samuel Post Davis, a guest in this house in 1878, you will enjoy the spacious charm of this ample guest room. Sam Davis, a reporter for the Virginia Evening Chronicle in 1878, went on to local fame as the editor of the Carson City Morning Appeal, and later served as a Nevada State Controller. Sam Davis Room feature private baths, queen-sized beds, cable TV with DVD player, free high-speed internet, ceiling fan, private thermostat, fine chocolates upon arrival, and other amenities. Each private bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Two rooms have large windows with picturesque views of the city and surrounding landscape. Our middle room features a skylight. | |
